Regents Canal...Preview of Amsterdam?

On a beautiful Friday afternoon, Tracy and I went for a stroll along London's Regents Canal and into Regents Park. The canal is a nice oasis in the middle of central London. Filled with converted canal boats, many as homes now, it makes for a scenic spot. The flowering trees were all out in bloom, as well as many flower beds and some nicely manicured gardens. Amsterdam, of course, is known partially for canals full of very similar boats, so this served as a preview of sorts.

Nice neighborhood.

London has the most multi-millionaires in the world.

Area called Little Venice

Friends and family like seeing pictures, so that's what this post and the next will be. I will say that Regents Canal is a very pleasant place for a walk or jog. London has more green space than about any comparably sized city in the world. There are parks like Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Regents Park, Hampstead Heath, Battersea Park and many others. Also, with London not being a city of high rises, many flats have small gardens (yards). They may mostly be pretty small, but they add up.

Next up:
Keukenhof Gardens outside Amsterdam. It'll be mostly pictures of flowers...millions and millions of flowers.
